Job Description:

Key Result Areas

Social mobilization and program interventions in the community for sustainable development

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

· Providing an advisory service to residents in response to community development projects, and to promote optimum use of local or external resources.

· Facilitating local solutions to local needs.

· Assisting the community and the IRP to become more aware of and responsive to the community needs.

· To conduct situation analysis of communities and initiate contacts with community.

· To ensure participation of people and CBO are formed sustainable basis.

· Collection of primary data and compilation of survey for various project and programme.

· To support survey team and conduct filed visit time to time.

· Management and implementation of rural appraisal and local level planning.

· Formation of cluster organization and identification of needs.

· To conduct various workshop and training classes for local community on the issues of development and awareness about health and hygiene

· To prepare ,implement and evaluate programs and project for community

· Conduct term of partnership dialog with the CO’s

· Monthly, quarterly work plan and reporting to Field Incharge.

· To take minutes of the committee meetings and ensuring community saving contribution register is updated.

· Developing and strengthening local networks, to foster and resource local initiatives, with due recognition to the unique requirements, strengths and resources of the local community.

Knowledge & Qualification:

· Master Degree preferably in social sciences with 2-3 years of relevant experience

· Knowledge of Social mobilization & Rehabilitation processes & procedures

· Knowledge of data collection and processing

· Knowledge of livelihood and WASH related interventions

· Knowledge of English and local languages
