Job Description:
Tasks
  • This responsibility involves all logistics - order handling, export, distribution, transport and warehousing in the territory. The manager has an up to date knowledge of sourcing and actual suppliers for the product, and will together with production unit manage:
  • The corporate logistic and purchasing manager has the responsibility for logistics and sourcing management within the business unit.
  • In the purchaser role the job holder is responsible for the purchase of products and services in accordance with given technical specifications, the companys supply chain strategy (commercial and terms and conditions) and the lowest possible cost.
  • The job holder must have technical knowledge of purchased products including an understanding of technical codes and standards, as well as knowledge and understanding of the market for such products.
  • Sourcing of new suppliers.
  • Benchmarking and comparison of price level for given products.
  • Approve vendors and suppliers in cooperation with the QHSE and supply chain management functions.
  • Conduct critical assessment on all deliveries to secure correct follow up and control
  • Execute the function as Supply Chain Lead and/or Product Lead Buyer

Qualification
  • Technical degree at Bachelor or Technical College level plus 10 years work experience
  • 5 years relevant experience in the field of logistics.
Skills Required
  • Some negotiation skills paired with a high commercial profile
  • Good and modern management skills based on teamwork and coaching.
  • Good understanding of market needs - customer and associated service.
  • A good understanding of budgeting processes and budget tracking/follow-up.
  • Target oriented and continuously seeking improvement opportunities.
  • Realized that what you dont measure cant be improved.
  • An ability to work systematically and independently.
  • Good knowledge of the English language both oral and written.
  • Good general computer skills.
