Job Description:

Designation: Associate Mentor

• Career Counselors are integral as guides for students and parents in the academic community and expected to practice effective communication, collaboration, coordination, and consultation with admin and students.


• Day to day duties will involve mentoring current clients and staying in touch with them on regular basis via online or in-person meetings and e-mails.


• The candidate will be required to interact with and mentor students as part of Kestrel counselling services


• Selected candidates will also collaborate with marketing teams to develop content.


• Candidates will also conduct research for multiple purposes and guide students with their applications and essay’s


• Work with students to develop skills, such as creative writing skills and effective study habits


• Mentor students for proper academic writings that are needed in the application process.

Expectations: 

• Candidate should familiarize themselves with the industry requirements (such as materials required for submission of application and educational routes offered at Kestrel Education)


• Evaluate students’ abilities and interests through aptitude assessments, interviews, and individual planning


• Reviewing students' personal and educational undertakings and how the manifestation of these might inform their academic choices.


• Work with students to develop skills, such as creative writing skills and effective study habits


• Mentor students on academic writings needed in application processes 


• Must be able to conduct research from journals, newspapers, magazines, websites, and have the ability to convert that research into a complied report as per requirement.


• As part of training exercises, write articles about the educational opportunities, conduct research seminars with students and write marketing materials (as needed).  


• Should have excellent research skills and be familiar with all formats of report writing and referencing including various citation styles such as APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, Turabian, Oxford, etc.
